“Whoah! Watch it lady!” “Well, excuse you!” “Hey, look where you're going!”
“Ack! Sorry, sorry!”
If there was anything that could top the equally awkward and challenging task of chasing someone through a sea of people, Sheena couldn't imagine what it was. Or, at least, not off the top of her head anyway. It would be best for her not focus on that such a thing now – after all, she'd lose her target if she dilly-dallied for too long. Where had that rascal disappeared to... She had had him in her sight a few minutes ago. Maybe she did lose him down that last street. Or perhaps it had been the one before that? Squinting, the young woman spun on her heels, eyes sweeping over the large crowd of people around her. There had to be some sort of sign around here somewhere... There! Out of the corner of her eye Sheena caught a quick flash of familiar colors, and whirled to quickly gave chase, occasionally calling an apology over her shoulder as she squeezed her way through the busy streets.
At the start of all this, Sheena had been quite annoyed when a certain little mischief maker had decided to take off with her bag of money. Running through the streets and leaving behind a wake of disgruntled bystanders was not how she had intended to start the day either. Despite all this however, the young woman couldn't suppress the smile that was forming on her face. Panting lightly, Sheena paused at a fork in the road, wiping her brow as she tried to locate any more clues that could guide her in right direction. She gave a victorious smirk at an unmistakable sign leading up the left path. They were tiny and easy to miss if one wasn't looking for them, but they were there; tiny black paw prints.
'He must have run over something on his way up,' She mused while following the breadcrumb trail up the road. It wasn't long before Sheena came to a small town circle, a simple yet elegant water fountain acting as it's center piece. Stopping to catch her breath, the Summoner placed her hands on her hips, an amused smirk playing at her lips. From where she was standing, Sheena could see three multicolored tails just peeking around the side of the water fountain. Slowly, she inched her way forward, pulling her knees up onto the edge of the fountain to shimmy the last few inches to hang right above her purse thief. She watched him for a few moments, knowing full well the small fox could sense her presence, but simply acted oblivious for her benefit. Ignoring a small flare of irritation at this fact, the young woman's smirk grew. With a swipe she scooped the Summon Spirit up into her arms, laughing as the creature wriggled in mock indignation.
“Caught you!” She cried victoriously, snatching back the coin purse that dangled from the fox's mouth. The Summon Spirit gave an over dramatic snort of displeasure, but it quickly dissolved into a smile as she placed him gently on her lap. Pocketing the small bag, Sheena gave the Summon Spirit an exasperated yet satisfied smile, giggling lightly as she scratched behind one of it's ears.
“That wasn't very nice, Corrine.” She chided with a glare, though her smile didn't waver. The fox grinned in response, head tilting innocently as if to ask what exactly he had done wrong. Shaking her head, the Summoner gave a low laugh, which turned into an embarrassed groan as realization hit her, cheeks coloring lightly. “Oh no... Now the Guild's going to think I'm even stranger because of this.” The entire chase had started by the entrance of the Hunter's Guild, Sheena lost in thought whilst fiddling with her coin purse. It was at that point in time the Summon Spirit had decided to leap up and steal the bag right out of her hands, leading her on a frantic yet entertaining adventure through the paved roads of the city. Corrine's expression fell slightly at this, and he stared at the Summoner for a few heartbeats before speaking.
“But you're better now?” His voice had a worried edge to it, one that he often used after she came out of drifting in her thoughts. Smile softening, Sheena gave a nod, gently stroking the creature's fur on top of his head in a silent gesture of thanks. He was always looking out for her, wasn't he? Bringing the Summon Spirit up into a quick hug, she set him down beside her on the edge of the water fountain, taking in her surroundings as she did so. She didn't recognize any of the buildings around them, and they were far too ornate to resemble any type of structure typically seen around where she lived. From the looks of it, they probably in an upper class part of the city, which instantly made Sheena uncomfortable. She was out of place here, an unwelcome outsider to a pristine world. Stomach knotting in anxiety, the Summoner glanced around, trying to figure out which direction they had come from. This day just kept turning out to be more and more peachy, didn't it?

HOLY ORDERS============= ============= BE JUST OR BE DEAD The horrible storm that’s been raining down on Sylvia seemed to finally have halted. Upon hearing the news that the weather had finally calmed down, the prince decided to jump out of his bed and decided to check up on his people instead of focusing on his studies this morning. While his father or Yuan may yell at him, Ezekiel felt that keeping up the relationship with his people was far more important than just studying advanced mathematics, writing, battle tactics and magic theories. First was going to be the farmlands, then work his way down from the slums and then the middle class to make sure the people weren’t cleaning up the damage on their own. He was going to use some of his knights and along with his working body to help people clean up all day, if possible even provide humanitarian effort for those who have been affected by the storm severely with Yuan’s advice of course. “Please, get my uniform.” Ezekiel ordered his maids, “I must go outside of the castle at once.” Without any questions, the maids quickly brought him his usual regal-looking sacred knights’ attire that he always wore on him.
Hastily, Ezekiel put his uniform on with the help of his maids as he walked out of his room and headed down from the upper level to the lower level so he can get out of the castle. “I should bring a few escorts with me; Yuan wouldn’t like to have me go out without having one. A few knights should do for now.” On his way down, Ezekiel took along a few knights with him that he knew by their faces. They were usually there with him when he needed either an escort or a sparring partner. These well-trained knights proved themselves great match for Ezekiel, but usually the prince came out victorious. “Citizens need to be watched over as if they are my own children. Without people, there is no kingdom.”
“But, your highness… what about all your studies? Wouldn’t Lord Yuan be angry?”
“A duty as a prince comes first before knowledge. If it is the support they need, I shall give it to them.” Ezekiel replied to one of the studies,"Until then, studying time can wait. I’ll catch up on it tomorrow.”
As expected of him, he was always a worrywart. To him, other people’s well-being came first before his. He always had a different ideal and philosophy of ruling people compared to his father, while he wouldn’t say that his father’s current ruling was ineffective, Ezekiel wanted to take more direct approach to the problems head-on instead of working around it. To be quite honest, that worked out pretty well. One time he rose up a fundraiser for children in the orphanage to get them new books, toys and equipments. This not only gave him a good publicity, it showed his father that he wasn’t just going to stand by and watch while his people suffer from this. Now, Ezekiel had a bigger problem at hand. With all these storms, farmlands must have been damaged and people down at lower quarters surely must’ve lost their homes. Assess the damage and then take the necessary action. Then, as he walked down the streets of the royal quarters he spotted a woman wearing a odd clothes lush in bright violet. Clearly, she did not belong up here, most likely she was lost. Most of the people that came up to royal quarters were either usually new to the city or just happened to be lost just like this woman. Strangely, she didn’t seem like she was from around this kingdom either. No one dressed up this way, he would know. It was most likely that she came from another village probably to do a trade. Ezekiel walked up to her, “Excuse me, miss.” He called out for an attention, “You seem to be lost, shall we escort you to a proper location?” ------ Words;; 662 Outfit;; CLICK HEREBGM;; Colony 9 - XENOBLADENote;; Hur, sorry if this took so long. Rising from her seat, Sheena gave a sigh and considered their location. She shouldn't be too far away from some sort of familiar street. After all, she'd only been running through one a few minutes ago, right? Or maybe she'd been so focused on catching Corrine that some details had gone by in a blur. Scratching the side of her head, Sheena gave a small groan and glanced at the options they had, roads that could get them back home or get them even more lost. She could always go for the rooftops, but that would probably single her out as being suspicious. Add her already rather out of place clothing to the matter and... Yeah. That wouldn't go over well with anyone.
“Any idea as to which way you got us here?” She asked her companion, chewing her lower lip in contemplation. Corrine was apparently just as perplexed as she was though, judging from how he looked from street to street in confusion. Frowning at this, the Summoner gave another sigh while placing a hand to her forehead. She always attracted this sort of luck. 'At least I'm not falling down any holes,' she thought in begrudging optimism. Massaging her temple for a moment, Sheena frowned and waved her hand in front of her face, as if to dispel any more bad thoughts that may be flying around her head.
There was always the option of going up to one of the houses and asking for directions - though Sheena wouldn't be surprised if she didn't get any sort of information out of them. It wasn't exactly an out of the norm happenstance. People around these parts just weren't very friendly to those who lived in the lower classes, often assuming their presence there was simply to ask for an easy handout. Of course there was always someone out there bound to be an exception, but it wasn't every day that you came such individuals. That is, as fate would have it, today happened to be one of those days. Whatever good luck Sheena still had with her seemed to grace her with a rare favor, one that came in the form of a friendly passerby.
With a start Sheena snapped her attention towards the new voice, cheeks reddening at the spot on observation. Was she that out of place here? Then again, did she really have to consider such a question..? Fumbling for a response, the Summoner gave an awkward cough and a jerk of a nod, trying to cover up her flustered reaction. She had to be better about keeping an eye on her surroundings. It wasn't good conduct to be caught off guard. Not to mention a poor reflection of her training to be so absentminded. Agh, just calm down, damnit!
“Er, yes. Please. I kind of... lost my way and ended up here. Now I'm not sure which street will lead me back.” Clenching her teeth, Sheena tried to lessen the warmth rising on her face, unable to bring herself to look at the man in the eye. A soft jingle of a bell served as a good distraction, and the reassuring weight of Corrine on her shoulder eased the Summoner's jumpy nerves. She probably should have been annoyed with the Summon Spirit for getting her into this situation in the first place, but right now Sheena needed a reassuring touch of someone familiar to ground her. Calmer now, the Summoner realized she should probably specify where exactly she needed to get 'back' to. Able to face the young man now, she turned to look at him and waved her hand towards the streets in a general sweeping gesture. “I'm... trying to find my way to the Hunter's Guild, though I'm at a loss at which street to take.”
It wasn't until the comment left her mouth did Sheena realize she probably shouldn't have been that specific to where she needed to go. She should have just asked to be taken to the nearest town square or whatever and get back to the guild on her own, but there was no use in taking back what she had said now. Sheena knew the guild was regarded a little warily by people who weren't actually in it, and even on certain occasions even she wasn't entirely sure about some of the things the higher-up's had them do. But if she didn't do them there was always a chance of being kicked out. Or so she automatically assumed was the default punishment. Sheena wasn't going to allow that possibility become reality, however. Hopefully this stranger wasn't going to regard her any differently because of this peculiar request, and once this embarrassing ordeal was over they would go their separate ways and forget this ever happened. At least that's what she was going to try to do...
