[/b]: An industrial country with the highest overall technology in Airatessa, it's populated almost completely with humans. It's also the only country that still has a royal family, or any stable type of government, in power. Because of this, it's become something of Airatessa's capital, as it now controls all the other countries as well. It lies in the west.
The SettingThe Countries
♦ Kaysa: A highly wild country filled with regal forests, looming mountains, and carved with flowing rivers and glassy lakes. There are only a few sparsely located cities among the terrain. Most remaining elves and dwarves live here. It lies in the north.
♦ Rookdale: The poorest country. Many races with low status live here, including beastmen, unwanted replicas, half-elves, and others. The environment is typically dry, hot, and dusty. It lies in the east.
♦ Aurem: Another country that had once been populated mostly by humans, with an atmosphere that was something of a cross between Opharis' and Kaysa's, but that now lies in almost complete ruin. There are a few cities remaining, though, including one placed in the sky that houses that Kritya race. There are also rumors that this is the country that the suspicious group many blame for the monsters is based in. It lies in the south.[/ul]
The Plot/Current Situation
The world of Airatessa was once filled with all sorts of cultures, races, magic, and advanced technology. Not only humans wandered its surface, but elves, half-elves, beastmen, and more called it home. It was a paradise. At least, it was until the animals began to mutate and monsters started haunting the once peaceful world.
People claimed that magic and technology had grown too advanced for the world to handle, and all the races started pointing fingers at each other. Even more stress was placed on the already struggling paradise, destroying any chance the inhabitants of Airatessa still had for peace. And if that wasn't enough, people, mostly promising young men and women, began to vanish from the cities - the last remaining places that the population had believed safe.
Instead of blaming the other races, a few individuals claim that there is instead a certain group of people responsible for the monsters and the disappearances, but is anyone brave enough to venture out and prove this theory? Much less put a halt to it? Or will Airatessa fall either to this group or to the suspicions and distrust of its own people?
